2009 Season
Annie Get Your Gun In a revised libretto by the late Tony, Oscar and Emmy winner Peter Stone, Tin Pan Alley Theater is proud to present this classic Wild West show-within-a-show! Featuring such classic Irving Berlin tunes as “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better,” “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” and “You Can’t Get a Man With a Gun” comes the timeless love story of sharpshooters Annie Oakley and Frank Butler. "Irving Berlin's greatest achievement in the theater," wrote the New York Post, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN "will always be a musical for the ages, one of the Broadway theater's enduring triumphs." This show takes us back to a time before answering machines and high technology, when a real person answered your ringing telephone for you, if you couldn't do it yourself. Welcome to Susanswerphone, where the lines are blurred between doing a job and eavesdropping. Songs including “Just in Time,” “The Party’s Over,” and “I Met A Girl” highlight this quirky and delightful valentine of a musical.
